Moving Abroad for a New Chapter

Published : July 25, 2026

I'd visited a dozen countries before I finally moved to one. There's a difference between passing through somewhere and choosing to build a life there.

The move wasn't easy — new language, new bureaucracy, a version of “home” I had to rebuild from scratch. But it also gave me something I hadn't realized I was missing: a chance to define my next chapter without the weight of everyone else's expectations of who I'd always been.

Moving abroad didn't just change my address. It changed the questions I ask myself every morning — and connecting with others who'd made a similar leap made the transition feel like a beginning, not an exile.
