Why I Founded Ageless-Societies

Having spent much of my life around innovation and entrepreneurship and, of course, getting older myself I became increasingly interested in ageing and this phase of life. It seemed to me that ageing itself should become a subject of innovation, just as so many other aspects of our lives have.

Ageing changes our relationship with time, possibility, relevance, autonomy and belonging. Why should access to opportunity diminish simply because we get older? And how might technology, AI and an increasingly connected world change that?

At the same time, we tend to bottle up our fears around ageing around health, financial independence, loneliness, relevance, or simply what the next chapter might hold. These are deeply personal concerns, but they are also part of a much larger societal transformation.

There seemed little reason for each of us to navigate them in isolation.

That was the starting point for Ageless Societies.

And perhaps against conventional commercial wisdom, I never wanted to reduce ageing to one neat category. Life isn't a vertical. Health, money, work, where and how we live, relationships, technology and opportunity intersect - and I wanted Ageless Societies to reflect that reality.

Today, we are building an ecosystem connecting people, projects, ventures and businesses around the opportunities and challenges of longer lives.

Health naturally belongs here, and my own fascination with health optimisation has shown me how much useful knowledge there is to share. But longevity is about much more than the body.

Finance matters, because capital drives change and determines which ideas and new models become reality. How we live matters, because our homes, communities and environments need to evolve with us. And work, technology, AI, relationships, learning and opportunity are all changing the shape of longer lives.

Not everyone needs to become an entrepreneur or dramatically reinvent themselves. Sometimes it is simply important to know you are not alone - and to find others thinking about the same questions.

That is what we are building: a place to connect, share what we know, discover what others are doing and perhaps create some of the answers together.

There is still a great deal to figure out.

We might as well figure some of it out together.
