Groningen – Jena Aging Meeting 2025

The G-JAM 2025 is a distinguished biennial scientific conference bringing together researchers from across the globe to explore the biology of aging. Organized collaboratively by the Leibniz Institute on Aging (FLI) in Jena, Germany, and the European Research Institute for the Biology of Ageing (ERIBA) in Groningen, the meeting will take place 24–26 September 2025 in the historic Aula (Great Hall) of Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Its program covers topics ranging from human aging and translational work, comparative biology, model systems, molecular and system-level aging, to sex-specific aspects. The event also includes a special pre-workshop on proteome informatics, opening up opportunities for in-depth technical training.

Designed to foster dialogue and collaboration, G-JAM 2025 places particular emphasis on giving visibility to young scientists: many short talks will be selected from submitted abstracts. The meeting culminates in a panel discussion, “Longevity Breakthroughs: Ready for Human Translation?”, which is intended not only for participants but also to engage the public, media, and policy-makers in discussions about translating aging research into real-world impact. Registration is open until 22 August 2025, with early-bird pricing and abstract submission deadlines set for 25 July 2025.
